fighting injustice, regulating equality -- the fire fellowship

The FIRE Fellowship is founded on the assumption that, to be the leaders of tomorrow, young people must assume meaningful leadership positions today. The FIRE Fellowship aims to: support and develop young people of color as leaders and organizers; support and increase the capacity of grassroots environmental/social justice groups; and provide a vehicle for the young organizers of today to come together and struggle with each other. To meet these goals FIRE supports young people of color in paid, summer internships with grassroots, people of color led, environmental/social justice organizations in the Bay Area.
